Pretty Good week. Down 1.5 pounds. Tuesday was my swimming lesson, and despite having to be seen in public in my swimming suit all went well. I was surprised of what a great full body work out it was. That day I was definately feeling it in my shoulders, which I expected, however, what I did not expect was to feel my abs sore. That was a great surprise!!! I am really excited for my next 3 lessons. Well atleast by the END of swimming season I should be half way decent in a suit.
I recieved my body bugg in the mail this week. I started to wear it on Thursday. It was quite interesting. When you start the software, you answer all the interview questions, such as your current stats then your goals. Then through the day you enter in your meals, just as if you were doing weight watchers online. At the end of the day, you hook your body bugg up and download the information. And there is a little graph that shows all the calories you burned. I didn't know that I burn 1.2-1.5 calories an hour while I sleep. You see the ups and downs through out your day. And if you take off your body bugg during the day (swimming or taking a shower ect) you just input what type of activity you were doing. Active activity (swimming) or Regular activity(showering). And then it takes information from your previous numbers. My goal is to loose 2 the program says that i should be eating 1850 calories, therefore I need to burn 2850 calories. So far, with working out an hour a day, and with my regular activity, it seems to give me enough of a calorie burn that I need. Now saturday was an interesting day. I had a booth at a Private School open house, and then I came home and did yard work. I was kind of worried because I didn't have enough time to go to the gym and in the evening I was tired I really didn't want to get on the treadmill, so I downloaded the information to see where I was. Because of all the activity during the Open House, and working outside, plus I didn't eat as much because I was busy running around, I actually had burned enough calories for the day!!! Yeah, I didn't have to jump on the treadmill!!! So having this body bugg is really interesting to have. And when Bob and Jillian ask the contestants if they are getting their "burn" I get what they are saying now!
Sorry for the long post. I hope everyone is having a great week!!! Keep up the good work!

One Month Down!

The months sure do fly by. Especially when you try
and loose weight. This week I lost 1 pound. So a monthly
total of 6 pounds. Not too bad! I am hoping to loose 10
next month. This month is my birthday month and for
my birthday I am getting a body bugg. They are those
same things the contestants from the biggest loser wear.
Costco had them on sale, and since there wasn't anything
else I needed or wanted, I decided to get one of these. A
friend of mine has worn one all month and she has lost 17 pounds. And she hasn't even done extra exercise. She has a semi-physical
job, but other than that and walking her dog on the weekend, she has just been going off of
what this little baby is telling her. So it records every little calorie you burn. You enter in everything you eat, and it tells you where you need to be to loose weight. My friend said
it is a real eye opener to what she puts in her body, and how many calories she does actually
burn in a day. So I am excited to get it, and see what it can help me with. Especially since eating
is my downfall. I am feeling good with my work outs this week. I ended up doing 3 weight sessions. I feel my muscles and they are feeling good and getting stronger. Even though my foot is giving me problems, the walking I am doing seems to be doing well. I am also taking a few swimming lessons this month. I would like to work on my form and breathing, and since my foot is giving me problems, I feel this will be a good alternative till I can start running again. I figure, I will have to loose a lot of my weight before I attempt running. So I am looking forward to this. Atleast the swimming part, not getting into a swim suit!! Good Luck everyone!!! I am excited to make this a great week!!!

Late but Here!!
Ok last week wasn't a stellar week. The good thing is, I didn't gain or loose. When I say that is a good thing, let me just say that I probably went out to eat 5 times last week. I only managed to work out 3 times last week, and I had to cut back my running. My foot has been hurting and Jake told me to slow it down. So I am back to strait walking right now. Though instead of increasing my speed, I have been doing intervals at different inclines. So That is still giving me a decent workout. I only did weights once last week. I still need to figure out how to over come my emotional eating. Luckily Jake is in with me, because he has been making some fabulous healthy meals. But since we do have nights were we have to have a quick meal because of the kids activities, instead of pizza or McDonald's we do Progressive Soup and sandwich's. The have a great variety of healthy soups, and the kids like them. And it is cheaper than picking up a quick burger as well!
